Vast rumors have been spread of Jared Leto returning as Joker for the upcoming Justice League movie, but a recent scoop shows that nothing of that is planned for the big DC hero team-up.
Umberto Gonzalez recently claimed to have debunked the Justice League‘s Joker rumor, and knowing his track record, it could be worth noting:
Sorry DC fanboys. Yesterday's rumor that surfaced about Jared Leto being in JUSTICE LEAGUE? Unfortunately, not true. #DEADED

Despite some split reactions of fans in regards to Leto’s Joker, having seen only less than 10 minutes of him on-screen could have been a bad image on him, especially considering how heavily he was advertised and reported on with his method acting traits. Perhaps a larger and expanded role could have been better for him to truly get used to what his character is, as there was clearly a lot of work put into it. As well, Leto showed great disappointment in these cuts and there is no word on whether he has a contracted return, but he has expressed great interest in coming back for the solo Batman film Ben Affleck is making.
Then again, it could certainly be for the better as to not shadow him again and bring him back later. There are enough characters being introduced into it for DC‘s fifth Cinematic Universe film. In addition to the league itself debuting with some new members to establish like Cyborg, Aquaman and Flash, Henry Cavill returning as Superman after his death, introducing some significant Atlantean roles and Commissioner Gordon, , “Alexander” Luthor returning with his craziness, and having no idea who the threat 100% is, it’s likely a field day with enough going on. Plus unlike Suicide Squad, this one doesn’t seem to have interest in showing us Joker like they did, slimming the chances more for a reason.
Justice League hits theaters November 17th, 2017. You can see Leto in action as the Clown Prince of Crime for the little he is in Suicide Squad, which is still out in theaters.
