Margot Robbie is a busy gal. In addition to a multitude of acting and producing roles under her recently formed production company LuckyChap Entertainment AND owning her iconic role as the lovably insane Harley Quinn in this summer’s Suicide Squad, she is now taking a full mantle in signing on to not just starring, but also producing in a recently-announced solo Harley Quinn spin-off film.
Warner Bros. has issued a signed contract, inking a first-look deal with the Aussie actress to help develop several movies with them, including the Harley Quinn film. Margot Robbie will be producing the solo film alongside her other colleagues at LuckyChap Entertainment with Tom Ackerly, Josey McNarmara and Sophia Kerr.
Details are currently scarce on the story behind the movie, but strong rumors indicate that there may be a Bird of Prey story indicated into it, and though not specifying which ones will be involved, it certainly sounds like DC is trying to push further with its female-driven productions.
