There’s been speculation as to when Jon Bernthal’s Punisher solo series would begin filming and when it would be released. Most reports say that we can expect to see the series some time next year, while others have said 2018.
It’s also been said that Bernthal could make an appearance on The Defenders. Turns out this interesting bit of information we’ve received from our source could go hand in hand with that rumor:
Defenders and Punisher are both set to start filming by the end of the year, as Punisher is starting to narrow down casting on key roles. Defenders is being shot under the code name FEARLESS, while Punisher will be shot under BULLET TIME.
These names make sense. Marvel ran a comic series called “Fearless Defenders” and Bullet Time fits The Punisher for obvious reasons.
Charlie Cox already indicated in a recent interview that The Defenders would begin filming later this year, stating:
What we do know is at the end of this year we’re going to be making The Defenders and, of course, Daredevil is very much a part of that foursome.”
Sounds good to me.
