With 20th Century Fox’s upcoming Wolverine 3 movie, there is a lot to be hyped for. It’s going to be the final film with Hugh Jackman in his classic role of the titular Wolverine, have the well-known Old Man Logan storyline from the comics and it will carry an R rating, following the success of this year’s Deadpool. However, X-Men fans have even more to look forward to after the digital release of this year’s X-Men: Apocalypse.
Anyone who stayed through the credits of the film know that there was a strong hint toward the appearance of villain Mr. Sinister. Up until now, the exact film where Sinister would make his appearance was unknown, however Simon Kinberg has confirmed during the commentary for X-Men: Apocalypse that the famous villain would appear in the upcoming Wolverine movie.
As for the actor playing the role, many are suspecting that Richard E. Grant had been cast. This is due to news back in April that Grant was cast in the film under the role of “mad scientist”. Many believe this was referring to the Mr. Sinister character due to the character’s history of performing experiments such gene splicing and cloning.
Whether or not Sinister will be a one-time baddie in this film or a recurring villain for future films remains a mystery. However, his mere existence in the film and Grant’s possible casting for the role leaves more than enough to get hyped for Hugh Jackman’s final outing as Wolverine.
