If you were wondering if the new Friday the 13th game would be too watered down, don’t be. As the trailer below proves – the kills are nothing short of hardcore. And what else would you expect from a game executive produced by Tom Savini?
The game itself is developed by Gun Media and Illfonic, and will put 7 players as counselors against someone playing as the iconic Jason Voorhees. It’ll also be a semi-open world game, allowing players to further explore the world of Crystal Lake and the various recreated locations from the films.
Also noteworthy is that Jason Voorhees is portrayed by Kane Hodder via motion capture. If you don’t know who Kane Hodder is, he’s notorious for having played Jason the most out of any other actor. He played the slasher all the way from 1987’s Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood to 2001’s Jason X.
