With the production of a Deadpool 2 in early development, fans are already thrilled to the strong rumor that Mackenzie Davis (The Martian, Halt and Catch Fire) may be up for grabs as the mutant Domino, even with fan-art already out of this dream casting.
However, how close are they to the real thing? An interview with GQ stated otherwise:
No! [laughs] It’s very interesting. People keep sending me printouts being like, “This is so cool!” And I’m like, “Right? I also think it’s cool! But it’s not true! I mean. I’d love to keep the ruse going. It’s sort of cool that people think I’m doing Deadpool. But no! I don’t have any news to share. I wish I did!
So it looks like a genuine decline of the rumor, but the thought of it is just as enthusiastic to her. We still got a long way, as the film is scheduled for a 2018 release, but perhaps some internet buzzing can do wonders if Fox or director Tim Miller take notice.
