James Gunn has revealed some new concept art from the upcoming issue of Empire – and it looks like the team will definitely have their hands full in the upcoming film – as the team appears to be battling some type of space creature. The entire team – even Baby Groot!

Here’s hoping that some footage or a trailer of some sort is soon to follow.
Not much is known about the plot of the film yet – aside from that it will feature Star Lord (Chris Pratt) searching for his father. It will be interesting to see how that is done – considering Kurt Russell was revealed to be playing the character’s father but also revealed as Ego The Living Planet.
The Guardians were in the news earlier this week when it was confirmed that they would be appearing in Avengers: Infinity War – but we pretty much knew that already, right?
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 hits theaters May 5th, 2017.
