    What Mackenzie Davis Could Look Like As DOMINO In Deadpool 2

    Okay, let me start out by addressing two things, 1. I have no clue who Mackenzie Davis is, and 2. Google is a wonderful tool.

    With the Deadpool number two slowly gearing up into the works thanks to the huge success of the first one, the rumor mill is a flame. Chandler Davis is being eyeballed for Deadpool’s time traveling compadre, Cable. And now Davis is being rumored for the Marvel Queen of luck, Domino.

    I’m not going to lie, I am a little bias when it comes to these things… I definitely have a bigger hard on for the DC universe when compared to Marvel, solely when it comes to the comic book universe. Now, when it comes to the cinematic universe, it doesn’t take a genius to realize that Marvel is killing DC in this sense. With that being said, I am really intrigued on how deeply Marvel is diving into the massive scale of the Marvel universe.

    I know that Deadpool is FOX but it was an independent movie, so it definitely had more of that Marvel Cinematic Universe vibe to it – if they were to go into R-rated territory.

    Naturally, when you hear the rumors of someone like Davis (who, come to find out is an extremely talented actress and I realized where I had seen her, The Martian and has a role in the new Blade Runner reboot) is in the rumor bank to play someone more prolific of the X-Men, it makes the little comic book nerd inside of me happy with glee. Especially knowing that hopefully this will set up the future of the franchise to introduce some of the darker and grittier groups like X-Force or even the newer Uncanny X-men, and also hoping something of this caliber finally throws a line to the slowly melting X-Men franchise. Because, let’s face it, Deadpool is probably the best X-Men movie since First Class, but who’s judging?

    So in closing, I think it is safe to say if Marvel and Twentieth Century Fox keep doing what they are doing in the casting department, they’re going to continue to rake in the money. Deadpool is actually up there in some of my favorite comic book movies to date, with the likes of Dredd, The Winter Soldier, Blade: Trinity and Guardians of the Galaxy (trust me, the list goes on)…
    I know what you’re thinking, “But Logan, you said you love DC, Blah, Blah, Blah. All those movies are Marvel. Yada Yada.”

    Yeah, I get it, shut up.

    Marvel is literally re-inventing how the world perceives comics and the culture they thrive in. When they are looking to hire on great casts and build truly relatable characters without trying so damn hard *cough* “Martha.” *cough* then it really is hard not to love the company. So, I am definitely excited to maybe, possibly, see Mackenzie Davis as Domino.
