There’s a new petition moving over at ThePetitionSite to get Nova, a character from Marvel Comics, featured in the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War film.
If you don’t know who Nova is, he’s a man named Richard Rider who happens to be part of an intergalactic police force called the “Nova Corps”. The Nova Corps was previously featured in James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy, where Glenn Close played their leader Irani Rael.
The character of Nova plays a big part in the original Infinity War storyline from the comics, so it makes sense that fans would want to see the hero make the transition to the big screen.
The petition states:
The Richard Rider Nova character has a long and storied history in the comic book world beginning in 1976 with the publication of “The Man Called Nova.” Richard Rider Nova was an important part of the original “Infinity War” comic book event and was prominently featured in the story and on the cover art. We are writing to ask that you include Richard Rider Nova in the Infinity War movie as part of the large cast of characters who will be participating in the war to stop Thanos.
You can read and sign the petition here.
