According to Entertainment Weekly, on the 25th anniversary of Nickelodeon, we will be seeing the return of a very special series: Rocko’s Modern Life.

According to the site, the return will be in the form of a TV movie, with the characters reacting to our modern 21st century. This’ll be quite a change for the cast of wacky characters since the show originally ran from 1993 to 1996.

“I’m very happy to be rejoining Rocko and my friends from O-Town again,” series creator Joe Murray told EW.

What I have found by bringing these characters back is that it’s not so much about nostalgia, but a sense that they still feel relevant and fresh to me, and after 20 years, they can’t wait to comment on modern life in the 21st century. They still have a lot to say.”

Although there’s no confirmation on when we can expect the film to air, it will most definitely be an anticipated release.
