According to Deadline, Michael Chernus will be playing Phineas Mason aka The Tinkerer in Marvel’s Spider-Man: Homecoming. This is the second villain appearing in the film, besides Michael Keaton’s rendition of The Vulture.
The Tinkerer has been known in the comics to provide various villains from the Spider-Man mythos with weapons and technology, including The Vulture, so it’s easy to tell where their relationship in the film is going.
Spider-Man: Homecoming will hit theaters July 7, 2017 and mark the first solo Spider-Man film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
