Well it certainly seems like the DC/Marvel rivalry may have moved past Keyboard warriors slinging insults at one another’s fandom’s in some internet comment section, as it looks like Suicide Squad director David Ayer has had his say on the matter.
Whilst attending the premiere of DC’s latest cinematic endeavor at the Beacon Theater in New York, the film’s director David Ayer took the opportunity to confirm his allegiance to the studio by yelling out ‘F*#k Marvel’. Of course this wasn’t just a random outburst of hate, the director was merely echoing the sentiments of an overzealous fan in the crowd.
Ayer himself later elaborated on the situation on his Twitter in an attempt to smooth things over with the many fans who were less than happy with his statement. You can check out the tweet below:
Sorry about getting caught up in the moment and saying f*ck Marvel. Someone said it. I echoed. Not cool. Respect for my brother filmmakers.

Of course this isn’t the first time members of the cast and crew have made comments regarding the rivalries and more often than not, they are harmless jabs at one another. It just became a slightly bigger declaration of war that it came at the film’s premiere. Those of you interested in seeing Ayer’s outburst can check it out below:
