X-MEN Seemingly Confirmed As Part of Marvel Cinematic Universe

    By Frank PalmerJuly 31, 2016

You probably already know that the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the Marvel FOX movies aren’t connected. FOX has the film rights to the X-Men, Deadpool and Fantastic Four which is why we haven’t seen any of them within the MCU.

TV is a different story, however. Marvel and Fox have been working on multiple TV projects together and the first one to get moving is Legion, set to premiere on FX in 2017. Most thought that it wouldn’t be connected to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (which also includes their Television Universe) but that doesn’t appear to be the case.

A recent article on Marvel.com that posted about all of the new arrivals in the MCU included Legion in their list – right under Doctor Strange and right before Mantis.

Could this be a sign of more things to come? X-Men: Apocalypse under performed at the Box Office and Fantastic Four didn’t perform at all. Deadpool obviously was a hit. We’ll have to wait and see but I’m sure fans would love to see the X-Men on the big screen with The Avengers.
