Ever since his involvement was rumored and then announced, fans have theorized what role Kurt Russell could be playing in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.
Many fans even suggested he could be Star-Lord’s father, but Marvel has just announced at Comic-Con that Kurt Russell will be portraying Ego the Living Planet.
Ego was a character in the comics who was essentially a giant planetoid-sized mass of organic tissue capable of sentient thought. Yeah.
It’ll definitely be interesting – and fun – to see Russell play such a role.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 hits theaters May 5, 2017.
