Matt Groening‘s Futurama has received a cult following over the years with its fantastic writing and immersive characters and atmosphere. From memes, memorable quotes to even a revival with four movies and several more seasons, the comedy sister series of The Simpsons clearly is one to be remembered for a lifetime in pop culture. And fans are still contributing their appreciation to the original.
Newfound Youtube channel Cinema Relics Productions released their own interpretation of the show set to a live-action film setting. Dubbed as “Fan-O-Rama“, the trailer for the upcoming project is exactly what you expect of it: memorable characters, settings and an “out of this world” feature quality.
The film is clearly a love letter to the original source material, with a gratuitous effort made for the same look of the show. From the make-up to the special effects, there really is an uncanny resemblance to how the characters and world would look in live action. Whether they seem authentic or something to get used to may take time.
