As new photos were released of the upcoming Wonder Woman movie, it seems controversy has also followed, this time in the form of fellow DC property’s live action show Arrow’s showrunner Marc Guggengeim.
A picture of Gal Gadot as the Amazon was put in comparison to Marvel’s Elektra as Guggenheim made the comment through Twitter:

Fans took their defense against the unreasonable comparison on the post, to which Guggengeim responded:
Jeez, people. You’re reading an ‘implication’ here where none was intended. Calm down.
However, said implication still remains unclear. The very pose has been a staple of the many incarnations of Wonder Woman tracing back to the comics, with producer Zack Snyder only attributing what other interpretations passed down. However, fans were also quick to remind Guggenheim that he took certain “interpretations” of his work as well:
