Filming has now officially commenced on ‘Thor:Ragnarok’, and Chris Hemsworth has released a set photo online showcasing a new updated version of Thor’s legendary hammer, Mjolnir. Well. Kind of…
Hemsworth’s notorious for being an on-set joker, and the fact that Kiwi director Taika Waititi comes from a comedic background has probably only spurred him on. Whilst the picture is clearly a spoof, showing somebody holding an everyday household hammer, it’s the tagline added by Hemsworth that intrigues:
Does this indicate that once again, the Odinson will somehow be losing his magical powers, reduced to only mortal weapons to battle with? Or has the inclusion of the ‘World War Hulk’ storyline in the movie truly maxed out the CGI budget and lowered the quality of available props?
You’ll have to wait until the film is released in October 2017 to find out, but we’re anticipating there’ll be a whole lot set-based tomfoolery prior to that…
