The next season of Supergirl will premiere with the arrival of her iconic cousin, Superman, who will be played by Tyler Hoechlin.
Artist BossLogic took it upon himself to design what the actor may look like in the role and posted his artwork on Twitter, with a message saying “Back from Supanova got to finally make the @TylerL_Hoechlin #Superman for @supergirlcbs”. Check it out below:

The actor is extremely excited and appears to look forward more to exploring Clark Kent than Superman, saying, “I think the fun is going to be finding where Clark Kent is in this world. I’m just excited to find out Clark’s sense of humor.”
And when asked to compare his Superman to actor Henry Cavill who played the role in Man of Steel and Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, he had this to say:
“I never try to compare and contrast performances because it’s such an iconic character already. Superman is Superman so I’m just going to try to carry on the tradition of that and play that part.”
Per the DC Comics wiki:
Superman is the most powerful being on planet Earth,[1][2] an alien immigrant named Kal-El from the planet Krypton who was raised in Smallville, Kansas, to become an American superhero. Raised with high moral ideals, he uses his incredible strength, speed, flight and various other superpowers to fight evil and protect the innocent. In his civilian identity he is Clark Kent, a mild-mannered reporter working for the Daily Planet in Metropolis. He is a founding member of the Justice League of America and a charter member of the Legion of Super-Heroes in the 30th Century.
Supergirl season two premieres on Monday, October 17 at 8pm.
