Today has seen a large influx of news regarding next years Justice League film, including scene descriptions and the first synopsis, however one of the most interesting revelations is the news that the film, which was first announced as being Part One of Two, will now be released as a single standalone film.
As part of the press visit to the film’s set in London, the journalists were able to ask questions of the film’s director, Zack Snyder, it was here that he explained ‘It is a complete movie,’. He was also asked whether the film would feature a cliffhanger, to which he responded:
“The movie doesn’t end and you’re like, ‘Okay, well that’s the DC Universe.”
This certainly sounds like a big change has gone on behind the scenes in regards to Warner Brothers initial slate of films, perhaps as a result of the lukewarm reception Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice received earlier in the year. However, given the way that many comic book films are all so interconnected it doesn’t necessarily need to be a two-parter in order to continue a story as evidenced by some of Marvels entries to the MCU. But where does leave the film formerly known as Justice League Part Two. Well according to Snyder:
“I think we still have a release date.”
Hopefully we’ll find out more information soon, but in the meantime you can check out the film when it hits theaters November 2017.
