About the upcoming Wonder Woman film, Diane Nelson, president of DC Entertainment, told People Magazine the following:
“It will have its own tone and look — it’s beautiful. There is humor in it, there is real emotion in Diana’s journey in discovering the complexity of man.”
Before Batman v Superman, we last saw her in live-action in her TV show of the ’70’s. But next year’s outing will be her first theatrical adventure.
Of everything it does have, Nelson also pointed out what it won’t have:
“There is no invisible jet. Not in this iteration.”
The Invisible Jet has been in almost every iteration of Wonder Wonder; even including The Lego Movie. But since this movie will take place during World War I, it makes sense not to introduce this piece of high tech just yet.
Maybe we’ll see it in Justice League, which is to follow that year.
Wonder Woman will fly (without her jet) into theaters June 2nd, 2017.
