Norman Reedus has recently become quite associated with motorcycles and motorcycle culture.
Firstly, his biker-esque character in AMC’s The Walking Dead is often seen riding motorcycles. And, with that said, this paved the way for another AMC series titled Ride With Norman Reedus; which follows the titular actor as he explores biker culture.
Coincidentally Marvel has also recently reacquired the film rights to a character equally synonymous with biker culture – the iconic Ghost Rider, a legendary figure with the supernatural power to protect the innocent and rid the world of villainy.
So, naturally in an interview with Uproxx they decided to ask Norman Reedus if he were interested in playing Ghost Rider in a potential new reboot – a role that actor Nicolas Cage has played twice before:
“Hell yeah,” he responded, “It would be a blast. Do I get a skull face that’s on fire and all that stuff? Fuck yeah. I’m down.”
With that said, fans can only hope that the Marvel character will ride again with the help of Norman Reedus, though, we’re not sure when Marvel plans on bringing the character back. After the films with Nicolas Cage weren’t perceived very well, they may want to give Ghost Rider a break for a while.
Reedus’s new series, Ride With Norman Reedus, premieres Sunday, June 12 at 10 p.m. ET on AMC.
