With filming having started on the Justice League movie recently, a title has still been speculated for the film to combat Marvel’s The Avengers. Justice League United, Justice League: Angels and Demons, Justice League: Gods Among Us, and Justice League: Gods Among Men being many suggested ones by fans.
Living up to such an intense title to follow up the recent Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice may seem like their plan. However, it doesn’t seem to be the case.
Geoff Johns, longtime writer of DC Comics and the recent co-chief of DC Films division, spilled the news via Twitter on the official title:
Clearing up any misconceptions — the Justice League movie is called "Justice League". @BenAffleck @GalGadot @ZackSnyder Happy Friday!
— Geoff Johns (@geoffjohns) June 4, 2016
Perhaps that’s all that really needs to be said. The name is iconic as is with the legendary comic hero unity, so anything further doesn’t need to be elaborated.
The newly-titled Justice League is scheduled to release November 17th, 2017.
