The second season finale of The Flash took quite a big turn of reveals, most notably the identity of the Man in the Iron Mask.
Last night’s episode, “The Race of His Life“, revealed him to be Jay Garrick, proving the popular theory among fans to be correct. It added when Henry Allen revealed that “Garrick” was actually his mother’s maiden name. An Earth-3 speedster, he is the doppelganger of Henry Allen, who would technically be Barry Allen’s father, allowing the two to meet again in a peculiar way.
As an added bonus, another familiar of the 90’s The Flash came back (the first being Mark Hamill as the original Trickster). Yes, none other than the original Flash himself, John Wesley Shipp, donning the Scarlet Speedster for old times.
