The newest reference of Netflix’s adult Daredevil series has come from a very peculiar form of a kid’s toy line.
Captain America: Civil War featured a new line of LEGO sets earlier this week, the merchandising focusing on the Spider-man branding as the selling point. With other characters from the film featured on the set, there was a hidden Easter egg in the form of the tanker truck.
The truck included is branded with the Roxxon oil corporation logo. The very same corporation that was featured in Season 2 of Daredevil, where Murdock learned of its sinister actions from Elektra.
This wasn’t the first time Roxxon was referenced in the Marvel films. Iron Man 3 referenced it for a terrible oil spill in the film, as well as a mention on the spin-off series Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Could this mean a merging of the Netflix and film universe will be possible, perhaps through the highly-anticipated Infinity War? With the references piling up to connect, it seems like a possibility. Only time will tell in the end.
Daredevil Season 2 is available to watch on Netflix.
