Just like with Transformers, the upcoming “Hasbro Cinematic Universe” has assembled a “Writer’s Room” to develop the upcoming movies in the franchise and help turn each independent series into a cohesive whole.
The writer’s room for this franchise, though, has a huge pedigree. It also has a ton of writers from previous Marvel movies and shows. Some of the names include:
-
Brian K Vaughn, writer for the critically-acclaimed comic series Y: The Last Man, writer for the critically-smashing comic series Saga, and showrunner for the Stephen King-based sci-fi show Under the Dome.
-
John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein, the writing team for the upcoming Spider-Man: Homecoming
-
Nicole Perlman, writer for Guardians of the Galaxy and the upcoming Captain Marvel movie.
-
Michael Chabon, writer for Spider-Man 2.
-
Cheo Choker, showrunner for the upcoming Netflix series Luke Cage.
-
Akiva Goldsman, the writer for A Beautiful Mind, which won Best Picture and won Goldsman an Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay. He also oversaw the Transformers writer’s room.
Other names include Lindsey Beer, Joe Robert Cole, Jeff Pinkner, Nicole Riegel, and Geneva Robertson, some of whom have some very solid resumes as well.
Hasbro’s new cinematic universe is currently consisting of properties such as GI Joe, Micronauts, M.A.SK., ROM, and Visionaries: Knights of the Magical Light, though it is not completely solid just yet.
