Well it looks like we know one character who will be making it out of Captain America: Civil War alive and its quite a big spoiler so read on at your own risk.
THR is reporting that Robert Downey Jr who plays Tony Stark AKA Iron Man in the MCU has finalized a deal which means he will be joining Tom Holland in next years Spider-Man: Homecoming. Fans had already suspected this to be the case when the title was announced, as the comic arc of the same name featured both Iron Man and Captain America in supporting roles. Whether Captain America will also appear remains to be seen, he’ll need to make it out of Captain America: Civil War.
Given that Downey Jr’s contract has previously run its course, it’s likely that he would be receiving a substantial fee for his appearance. However seeing as he is currently the face of the MCU, it would make sense that they would want him to appear in their first collaboration with Sony who are co-producing the film. We should hopefully hear an official confirmation in the coming weeks.
Iron Man and Spider-Man can next be seen in Captain America: Civil War on May 6th.
