James Gunn Gives Opinion On Who Would Win Between Superman and Hulk

Guardians of the Galaxy” director James Gunn hosted a Facebook Q&A on Saturday. Among the many questions asked by fans, one inquiry was the age-old question about the most physically powerful beings in their respective universes: Who would win in a fight between Superman and the Hulk?

“The Man of Steel is much more powerful than the Hulk,” he replied. Marvel fans promptly went bonkers, but Gunn’s statement is most likely true. While the not-so-jolly green giant could certainly take any earth-born creature, the Son of Krypton is another matter entirely. He can knock planets out of orbit – no man, mutant, or otherwise “super” hero will ever be a match for him. Unless, of course, we find out that the Hulk’s emerald hue is caused by Kryptonite.

Indeed, it seems that much of Gunn’s fandom lies on the DC end of the comic spectrum. He also named Watchmen as his favorite graphic novel (which I 100% agree with), and the Joker as the greatest supervillain.

Who do you think would win the superhero battle? And do you think a Marvel director’s love for DC properties could ever affect his work? Let us know in the comments!
