Nick Fury has always been a character with plenty of secrets, in fact according to Tony Stark ‘Even his secrets have secrets’. The same however cannot be said for the actor who portrays him, Samuel L Jackson who seems more than willing to reveal information about when we’ll be seeing him pop up in the MCU next.
Whilst at Cinemacon this last week, the Pulp Fiction actor was interviewed by the folks over at Fandango where they asked him on when we can next see the former Director of S.H.I.E.L.D. where he gave an answer which may disappoint fans of the spymaster. Jackson revealed that:
‘I think I’m in Avengers 3 and 4, but I’m not in Civil War.’
Naturally with Avengers: Infinity War still a few years away from production this could always change but seeing as though the film is set to feature upwards of 60 characters according to the directors, it’s very likely Fury will appear. But of course this could always be a case of the actor keeping us in the dark about a surprise cameo and we will be seeing him in Captain America: Civil War when it is released May 6th.
Whilst on the subject of Civil War, the site also asked the all-important question of ‘Whose side is he on?’, the answer to which is the exact one you would expect from the actor.
‘Ahhhh, I don’t know. I haven’t given it much thought,” Jackson says with a smirk, adding that whatever side he chooses won’t get him in trouble. “I’m Nick Fury — Nick Fury is above all that.’
