In a recent interview, the team behind this years superhero hit Deadpool expressed interesting in seeing Fox’s X-Men share the screen with Disney and Marvels Avengers much like Spider-Man is set to do in the upcoming Captain America: Civil War. But now it seems the pair have set their sights on a slightly smaller scale crossover between Deadpool and one of Marvel’s most popular characters. Read on to find out who they want to see the Merc with a Mouth team up with.
In a recent interview with SuperHeroHype for promotion of the upcoming Blu-Ray release of Deadpool, the films director, Tim Miller and producer Simon Kinberg were asked about the possibility of Spider-Man and Deadpool one day fighting side by side (or even against one another). Unsurprisingly, the pair were one hundred percent on board with Miller revealing:
‘Simon and I have been trying to build bridges.’ Kinberg followed up with ‘I would love to see it. Both of us are close with [Marvel’s] Kevin [Feige], we respect and love Kevin. If it were even remotely possible, we will find a way ’cause we’d would love to see it.’
With last years deal between Sony and Marvel taking everybody by surprise, it’s not totally unreasonable to think that we could one day be seeing the two characters making wisecracks together on the screen. We’ll next be seeing Spider-Man in Captain America: Civil War on May 6th and Deadpool in the recently confirmed Deadpool 2 which doesn’t currently have a release date.
What do you think? Would you like to see these two Jokers on the screen together? Are there any other Marvel characters you would like to see? Let us know below!
