Sony released the new logo for the “Animated Spider-Man” film which used the new title in a curved design over a shot of New York City with a “December 2018” release date, along with the credits “From Phil Lord & Chris Miller”.
Lord and Miller will write and produce the film which is said to co-exist with Tom Holland’s live-action Spider-Man portrayals.
The live-action film will be released July 28, 2017, although Spider-Man will make his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut with the arrival of Captain America: Civil War on May 6, 2016.
All of these were part of the deal Sony made with Marvel to utilize Spider-Man alongside other MCU heroes, so hopefully it works out better than their last few films.
