With a steady influx of news hitting the inter-web in regards to Marvel’s Netflix properties, it seems as if Charlie Cox has revealed some interesting information in regards to Daredevils involvement within The Defenders team. With series 2 of Daredevil having blown away critics and audiences alike, anticipation for The Defenders series is at an all time high with many speculating on the dynamics of the team. In a recent interview, Charlie Cox has spoken briefly about how the latest series will have influenced Daredevils decision to form the team of superheroes …
“He can’t do this alone. He’s been so adamant about being a lone wolf, about doing it himself, so I think that in order for him to get to The Defenders we needed this second season. We needed to see him be broken individually so that he can – he’s willing to form a team. The lesson that Matt has had to learn in the second season of Daredevil is that he needs help.”
Sounds like the right direction considering Daredevil’s success on Netflix. No news yet on a potential 3rd series however with Iron Fist set to be filmed imminently, The Defender’s expected to film towards the end of the year and Luke Cage expected to premiere September 30th, fans will have plenty to look forward too.
