Earlier today we got confirmation that Ezra Miller’s Flash would definitely be appearing in the soon to be released Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice but it sounds like it might not be as straight forward as first assumed.
Entertainment Weekly reveals that the Fastest Man Alive will make an appearance in one of Bruce Wayne’s nightmares to deliver what they describe as, a cryptic message. Whilst discussing this scene, the films director Zack Snyder explains that it is a giant Easter egg before adding:
“We had such a straightforward narrative, on one hand, I wanted this other layer of the movie to be complicated and bizarre…”
It certainly sounds intriguing.
Some fans have speculated that this may be The Flash travelling back in time to issue a warning of the future to the hero. It’s already confirmed that there will be references to Darkseid so this is entirely possible. We’ll know for sure when the film is released on March 25th.
