I don’t know what anyone else was expecting. But it looks like, after everything else, Slimer, the classic Ghosbusters ghost, is probably going to be appearing in the new Ghostbusters movie.
There have been rumors in the past that Slimber was going to appear in Ghostbusters, though director Paul Feig apparently debunked them at some point. However, several sources confirmed that Slimer will actually be appearing after all, despite Feig’s comments.
He hasn’t been in any of the marketing material so far, but we do finally have full confirmation that Slimer will indeed be appearing in the new Ghostbusters.
Michael K Williams, who is in Ghostbusters, said this:
“I’m not going to lie, working with Melissa, and Kristen, and Kate, was really dope. But I got to work with Slimer, dude. Like Slimer!!! I’m in a scene with Slimer! I’m a huge Ghostbusters fan and it was a dream come true.”
Not only does that confirm Slimer, it also sounds like he’s going to be playing a bigger role than it currently seems.
The trailer for Ghostbusters, after years of waiting, releases on March 3. The movie itself releases on July 15.
