Netflix and Marvel have decided to ring in the Chinese New Year with a “bang”.
A new promo for the highly anticipated second season of Netflix’s show was released today, in conjunction with the year of the monkey starting tomorrow..
The promo shows Daredevil standing on a building, with the Chinese new year celebrations commencing in the background (with fireworks and Chinese lanterns). The words “The time has come to settle all debts” then appear above our hero. A tradition commonly practiced on the first day of the Chinese new year is to settle all your financial debts to start the year off on a clean slate.
The screen dips to black. We hear a pistol cock. Then we hear Jon Bernthal’s Punisher voice deliver a chilling “Bang”.
