The Oscars may still be weeks away, but it looks like Leonardo DiCaprio may already have his next film already lined up.

LenFilm, a Russian film company, has responded to DiCaprio’s recent comments in regards to playing a historical figure by offering him the role of young Vladimir Lenin in a film about his life.

Speaking to Baltika FM, Valeriy Karlov, Spokesperson for LenFilm explained:

“It is always interesting to make movies. Leonardo DiCaprio is often compared to Lenin in his youth. We have enough scenery and props to recreate the era of the revolution.”

He does certainly seem to have the look of the Russian leader, but the actor did also express interest in portraying the seemingly hard to kill Rasputin or current Russian president Vladimir Putin, both of whom would also make for interesting films. At the very least it would likely be another Nomination for Best Actor.

What do you think? Can you see DiCaprio as Lenin? Do you think this is his year for the Oscar? Let us know below!
