In a move which isn’t likely to surprise many, Netflix today announced that the Krysten Ritter led show, Marvel’s Jessica Jones would be returning for a second season on the streaming service.
The announcement came at the Television Critics Association press tour; however it wasn’t announced when the show would hit our screens. Speaking to IGN, Ted Sarandos, CCO of Netflix explained:
“It will all depend on the scheduling of The Defenders, which itself is still to be determined.”
Although seeing as the company has yet to even cast the character of Iron Fist, they may be able to find a place before the team up series arrives.
Given the praise the first season, especially in regards to its star, it was likely that the show would be coming back. There are also a number of unresolved plots which need picking up, such as Will Simpson and his mysterious shadow organization. Hopefully, we’ll have some concrete information on the seasons release in the near future.
What do you think? Are you glad it’s coming back? What villains can we expect to see? Let us know below!
