So far we’ve only been given brief glimpses of the Dark Knight’s base of operations – the Batcave – in the various trailers for the upcoming Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice, but now thanks to Entertainment Weekly, that’s changed.
In the magazines latest issue, they offer a new look at the ‘lower foundations of the southeast wing’ which is described as the only part of the Wayne home that hasn’t fallen ‘into disrepair, crumbled in ruins.’
We also heard from Batman himself, Ben Affleck about the characters motivations:
“He represents human beings, mortal men. In a world of Flashes and Aquamen and Supermen, there needs to be that guy. It’s interesting that he became the leader of the Justice League in the books — I’m not sure how that’ll play out here — but his humanity is also an asset.”

The magazine also features a quote from Alfred actor Jeremy Irons about the support his character gives the Caped Crusader, explaining that his character is ‘a lot more hands-on’ before going on to reveal that he’s a bit of a grease monkey, and he’s very involved in the decisions Bruce makes.
It sounds as though Alfred will be playing a big part in the upcoming film, not just in regards to the technical side of Bruce Wayne, but also the moral side of him.
We can expect to see more when the film is released next March.
