You don’t need to venture too far into the depths of the internet to discover that some people take the DC/Marvel rivalry extremely seriously. But it’s always good to see that those involved in the film don’t see it that way.
At the recent Comic Con Experience in Brazil, Captain America: Civil War co-director Anthony Russo shared his thoughts on the competition with Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Speaking at a live panel he revealed:
“As filmmakers, my brother and I, we love the genre, the more good comic book movies there are the better, as far as we’re concerned. So, we don’t really look at it as competition. We think Zack Snyder is great and we hope the movie is fun and great and we enjoy it like everybody else.”
It’s great to see how he positive he is in regards to the situation, unlike some others involved in the respective franchises (Looking at you Jason Momoa and Anthony Mackie), and it’s definitely something more fans should bear in mind. At the end of the day, they are all films we can enjoy! Well, except maybe Fantastic Four.
