Some new details have emerged regarding those interesting Wonder Woman set pictures which were revealed at the end of last week, details which may shed some light on Chris Pine’s character.
Many fans were left confused by the strange attire being worn by actors Chris Pine and Saïd Taghmaoui, with it appearing to be something from the early 20th Century.
Well, according to Umberto Gonzales over at Heroic Hollywood, the reason behind this is that Chris Pine will be playing both Steve Trevor and his grandfather in the First World War.
Gonzales explains the following:
During the World War One section of the movie, Steve Trevor’s grandfather is the one that crashes on the island and meets Gal Gadot’s Diana. Grandpa Trevor is the one who shows Diana the outside world and helps her beat Ares. He then passes away.
In modern times, Diana meet’s Grandpa Trevor’s descendant THAT LOOKS EXACTLY like him, and helps her battle Ares again. So Chris Pine is playing a dual role. Both Steve Trevor and Grandpa Trevor.
It certainly seems like it’s a possibility, and it would be a good way to make use of Chris Pine. We’ll likely to find out closer to the film’s release.
