Rejoice, Godzilla and King Kong fans – Legendary is moving Kong: Skull Island from Universal to Warner Brothers in an effort “to unite the property with Legendary’s other giant franchise, Godzilla”.
In a report from Deadline, it’s said that a Godzilla vs. King Kong movie will go into production after Gareth Edward’s Godzilla sequel is released in 2018.
“I’m told this is happening very quickly with moves going all the way to Japan, where Godzilla rights holder Toho is based.”
This is pretty cool news. I still remember watching the 1962 King Kong vs. Godzilla film when I was a little kid. For those of you who don’t remember – here’s a reminder:
