In a recent interview with ScreenRant, Ryan Reynolds talked about a potential X-Men crossover and how it might be difficult:
“It would be kind of hard, wouldn’t it? Because you have a character – let’s say you have a character who knows he’s in a comic book movie, that sort of breaks the fourth wall [and] has a tendency to kind of say people’s real names instead of their characters’ names. How do you introduce that into another universe that…does not do that?” Reynolds told them. “So…I don’t know. I’d be curious to say. I’m not saying that’s not going to happen. I don’t know if it’s going to happen. I would love to see that.”
He also makes certain that he doesn’t want Deadpool to be messed up again – like the last time we saw the character on the big screen:
“You have to be very careful about how you do that because you don’t want to do a disservice to any one of these characters that are beloved by everyone.”
In Deadpool:
Wade Wilson (Ryan Reynolds) is a former Special Forces operative who now works as a mercenary. His world comes crashing down when evil scientist Ajax (Ed Skrein) tortures, disfigures and transforms him into Deadpool. The rogue experiment leaves Deadpool with accelerated healing powers and a twisted sense of humor. With help from mutant allies Colossus and Negasonic Teenage Warhead (Brianna Hildebrand), Deadpool uses his new skills to hunt down the man who nearly destroyed his life.
