Variety is reporting that Spider-Man will only have a cameo in the upcoming Captain America: Civil War film. Here’s what the official quote said:

“Spider-Man is only expected to have a cameo in “Captain America: Civil War,” so there wasn’t a rush to make a decision since the thesp would only be shooting for about a week,” the publication wrote.

This may come as a bit of a surprise and a disappointment to some as Spider-Man is a pretty big part of the Civil War story in the comics. It’s hard to doubt Marvel at this point, however.
