While speaking with MTV News about Avengers: Age of Ultron, Chris Evans explained why the next Captain America installment has enough characters to be considered an Avengers movie on its own:
“It’s to jump off into the next Avengers, the Infinity Wars. So Cap 3 is going to be kind of the setup for the real battle.”
If you’re like me, Captain America: Civil War is definitely up high on the list of movies to watch, but then again, what Marvel movie isn’t? They all receive an enormous amount of hype (deservedly so):
It definitely sounds like the stakes are going to be raised in Captain America: Civil War, as we already know the stakes are high for the upcoming Infinity War movie. It’ll be interesting to see the direction Marvel Studios takes the Marvel Cinematic Universe going forward.
Captain America: Civil War Synopsis: Political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability when the actions of the Avengers lead to collateral damage. The new status quo deeply divides members of the team. Captain America (Chris Evans) believes superheroes should remain free to defend humanity without government interference. Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) sharply disagrees and supports oversight. As the debate escalates into an all-out feud, Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) must pick a side.
