Throughout the promotional material of Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol 2. it was clear that main villain of the piece was going to be Elizabeth Debicki’s Ayesha, ruler of The Sovereign Empire. Whilst many people were satisfied with the characters appearance, some new concept art reveals that she almost had a slightly different look.
In the film, Debicki sported her trademark Golden Skin as well as several elaborate headdresses, dresses and jewelry and in these pieces of concept art from artist Gloria Shih offers a look at some slightly different headdresses, dresses and jewelry.

Speaking of working on the film, Shih remarked:
“Ayesha was so fun to design. I’m so happy to have the chance to work on this film, Thanks to Kevin Chen from the Vis Dev department for the initial inspiration and the wonderful costume designer Judianna Makovsky for her guidance and opportunity. You guys rock!”
Whilst the look isn’t exactly what she wore in the comics, it does work very well for how the character was portrayed in the film. She may have something similar to this when she returns in Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 3.
