Since Christopher Nolan’s spectacular trilogy of films reinvented The Caped Crusader for the big screen, fans can’t seem to get enough. So it would make sense that Ben Affleck, who is set to not only star but direct the 2018 reboot would being on the receiving end of a lot of quizzing.
Although a recent interview with Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice star reveals he had enough of the questions.
In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly in regards to his latest directorial effort, Live by Night, the interviewer made the mistake of bringing up the brooding hero which prompted the actor to respond.
Affleck:
“Oh, my God. It’s such a pain in the ass. It’s like every time I mention Batman, it gets this huge, you know, click bait. When I was doing this movie, it took me two years to get it together, but nobody asked me, ‘Where’s Live By Night?’ They ask me is ‘Batman. Batman. Batman’ Batman’s coming along. It’s going to be great. We are going to making something really special. We are going to take the time to make it right. We are going to do it good. We are going to do it the right way, and the fans are going to love it.”
It makes sense that Affleck would be slightly annoyed at fielding so many Batman questions, especially since he’s been working on this film for several years. Of course, it must also be difficult for him as everybody asking about the film just goes to show how important it is that he puts out the best possible film that he can.
The Batman is yet to be given an official release date, but it is rumored to hit theaters sometime next year.
