While we won’t be getting a third season of Marvel’s Daredevil until 2018, it’s always fun to speculate which villains or different characters in general may show up.
It’s been widely assumed that Bullseye will show up at some point or another, considering he’s a key villain for Daredevil in the comics and Charlie Cox certainly isn’t opposed to that idea.
At Wizard World in Pittsburgh this past weekend, Cox was asked which villain he’d like to see Daredevil take on next and here’s how he responded:
“It’s no secret, I’ve said it before and I get in trouble every time I say it, I’d like to see Bullseye make an appearance at some point. I think it’s a really interesting opportunity. Deborah Ann Woll obviously does not want Bullseye to show up for obvious reasons. Elodie Yung, who plays Elektra, doesn’t want Bullseye to show up either.”
Elden Henson then jokingly added:
“I actually heard they’re going to cast Zach Galifinakis as Bullseye.”
We last saw the character portrayed by Colin Farrell in Ben Affleck’s 2003 Daredevil film, so he’s obviously long overdue for a reboot and fresh start – just like Daredevil himself.
As to when Bullseye will actually appear, we’ll just have to wait and see. It’ll be interesting to see the approach Marvel takes with the villain – and here’s hoping it’s a good one.
